As with our other natural fabrications such as cashmere and silk, this luxuriously rich material requires the right care and attention to preserve its beautiful nap and colour intensity.

How to Maintain
Due to suede’s organic nature, it may change over time, once the first signs of wear begin to show. This is a unique property of the fabric, and only adds to its distinctive characteristics. As a consequence of its porous and absorbent quality, a natural patina will develop around the cuffs and neckline. In order to best preserve the original colour of your garment, avoid exposure to heavy rain and direct halogen light and sunlight for prolonged periods of time.
How to Store
Ensure to store your suede garment in enclosed wardrobes, shielded from light. We advise the use of a sturdy hanger with a wide shoulder to account for the fabrics heavy weight without distorting it. A cotton or linen garment cover is additionally recommended, to keep dust from collecting on the hide’s short fibres.
How to “Wash”
Should your suede get under the rain or the occasional caipirinha accidental spill, blot away any stains with a white handkerchief, then allow the area to air dry. Resist the urge to wipe or rub any affected areas as this may lift the colour and damage the texture of the fabric. Refrain from washing, tumble drying or bleaching suede garments - instead opt for a natural or silicone-bristled suede brush to preserve its texture.
