Woven from the wool of Cashmere Goats, finer and longer than traditional sheep’s wool, cashmere sourcing is only possible in 12 countries globally, due to the very specific conditions required for the goats to thrive. Etymologically, ‘cashmere’ refers to shawls woven by 15th-century Kashmiri craftsmen; but other communities of shepherds in Central Asia have historically used the same fibres, tightly woven to create ultra-soft layers for colder months.

How to Wash
As with most delicate fabrics, the best way to keep your cashmere item clean is to spot clean on any affected areas. However, before storing away for longer periods of time, or after several consecutive wears, it is advisable to handwash the piece in lukewarm water. Don’t rub, wring or stretch your garment during the wash; gently squeeze the suds instead.
How to Dry
Lay your garment flat on a towel and smooth it back into shape with your hands. Hanging or tumble drying will misshape the fibres. Be sure to keep it away from direct heat, such as radiators, and sunlight. Cashmere can be gently ‘ironed’ under a damp cloth, using a cool iron.
How to Store
Once the garment is clean, we recommend combing the garment with a depilling comb, to remove any clusters of fibres left on the surface of the fabric; this will ensure the piece’s soft hand-feel remains throughout its time in storage. Store inside-out, in a cool, dry and clean place.
