Part of what makes Rio De Janeiro our muse is its seamless integration between city and nature. With this value always in mind, we endeavour to act in protection of the environment in the belief that it is far greater than a moral necessity, but a driver of radical change, innovation and harmony to truly make the world a better place to live in.
From the very beginning, sustainability has been at the very core of our company's ethos. Our founding product, the Beach Bat, is hand-crafted by Brazilian marceneiros from wood-offcuts that have been salvaged from the national furniture industry. We are constantly looking at new ways to innovate our sustainable practices, most recently having shifted our swimwear production to solely 100% Recycled Polyester, which is made using plastic waste salvaged from the ocean.
Furthering our commitment to these conscious changes, we partnered with One Tree Planted, a non-profit organisation with a wider mission to plant more trees across the world. This collaboration comes in an effort to extend the sustainable practices present in the production of our bats beyond the items themselves, and back into the environment that makes their existence possible.
In a bid to support reforestation within our beloved Amazônia and give back to the earth, FRESCOBOL pledged that, for a limited time, every set of our iconic beach bats purchased online, we will plant one tree in the Amazon rainforest.
This initiative supported the vital work undertaken by One Tree Planted to restore land affected by deforestation and offset carbon emissions, with the aim of revitalising the “lungs of the earth” as well as supporting local people with meaningful employment.
