How We Measure: Tailoring

Whether you want something that fits perfectly or that’s consciously untailored, learn how we measure our pieces so you can find the right fit for you.

To find your perfect fit, compare these measurements to a garment of the desired fit you already own. Place the garment on a flat surface and take all measurements from the outside.

Suit Jackets

Half Chest: Measure the width of the chest from seam to seam, approximately one inch below the armpit seam.

Sleeve Length: Take a measurement from the top of the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve.

Back Length: Take a measurement from the centre back of the garment, from the back of the collar to the bottom hem.

Shoulder Width: Measure straight across from where the shoulder seam meets the sleeve on one side of the garment to where the shoulder seam and sleeve meet on the opposite side.

 Trousers

Full Waist: Measure from the outer side across the waist and double the measurements.

Inside Leg: Measure from the seam in the seat of the trousers to the end of the leg.

Please Note: For Swimwear only, we utilise outside leg measurements as well. These are measured from the top of the waist, down the outer leg, to the end of the hem.
