Our eponymous Frescobol Bats are as much individual works of art as they are practical pieces for the classically collaborative Carioca game. Crafted by skilled marceneiros from various wood types salvaged from the Brazilian furniture industry, and finished with durable resin; though our bats are delicately constructed, they are also made to endure long-lasting rallies.

How to Maintain
Our Frescobol Bats are finished with a water- and sand-resistant resin, giving them a more durable exterior, and allowing for wipe cleaning in day-to-day care. To maintain this protective coating, ensure to keep the bats under the shade when not in use, and avoid submerging entirely in water.
How to Store
When it’s time to pack up your Trancoso or Leblon set and head back for an aperitivo, be sure to dry them before storing in their carry-sack or case. This prevents splintering on the surfaces, by impeding the wood from soaking up any moisture, and discolouration in the grips, from overexposure to sunlight.
How to Repair
As avid players can attest to, the knock-knock of a frescobol rally can get quite intense- the desire to keep the ball in play creates strong swings and throws of the bats. It is, therefore, expected that your pair of frescobol bats will age with use. Knowing this, we offer the option to repair cracks and splinters in the wood or varnish.*
How to Re-Grip
We offer proprietary grip kits, whether for re-gripping or a colour refresh on your set, containing two neoprene grips with double-sided tape and two sets of self-sealing tape. Remove the old grip, and carefully wrap the grip around the handle. Finish by cutting off the excess grip and wrapping the top of the handle with the provided self-sealing tape for a fully renewed grip. All kits contain a thoroughly detailed set of regripping instructions.
